Universities require students to complete different combinations of courses to earn a degree. Graduate programs also have some required courses and others that are optional. It can be confusing to understand the requirements and how to create a study plan so that you can graduate on time. This workshop explains how you can work with an academic advisor to identify the courses you need to take. You will also learn how students commonly register for courses so that you are familiar with the basic steps when you learn about your specific university’s process.

You will also learn key vocabulary related to health insurance—claim, premium, deductible, in- and out-of-network, co-insurance, and co-pay—so that you can understand how payments work. Finally, you will explore some strategies for getting health care in an affordable way.
