In this workshop, students learn what academic integrity means and why U.S. universities require high standards of independent work from students. They explore the concepts of intellectual property and plagiarism and cultural beliefs about the ownership of ideas. Through practical scenarios and discussion, students learn about U.S. higher education expectations for academic integrity in research and writing, presentations, and group work.
