In this course, you will develop critical skills for conducting, discussing, presenting and writing about research related to your field of study. You will gather a collection of field-related articles and analyze the language, rhetorical features and vocabulary to become familiar with academic and professional writing in your field. You will also learn how to identify and evaluate relevant sources, and practice essential skills such as summarizing, paraphrasing, and creating citations. You will practice critical reading and apply your learning in group discussions and group projects, learning to collaborate with peers. You will write and revise multiple drafts of academic texts and practice reporting findings in regular academic presentations.
