Global Citizenship Workshop

In this introductory workshop, you will explore topics related to competency as a global citizen. You will consider your own perspectives and biases in order to begin to develop a new global viewpoint. You will participate in interactive exercises to find commonalities with people that seem different to you. You will also consider how tolerance promotes peace and practice communicative skills that you can use to improve relationships among individuals from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. As you practice critical analysis, you will gain more self-awareness, moving toward developing an open, reflective attitude about global issues and willingness to take action to promote change. Students who complete the course receive a Global Citizenship Certificate endorsed by the U.N. Charter institution, University for Peace.
