This workshop allows students to explore what professionalism means in a U.S. workplace context and compare it to that of their home country. Students discover how their attitude towards work, communication, tolerance and respect, time management, and appearance can enable them to positively influence others’ perception of them. They also discuss tone and formality in business writing to learn how to communicate effectively with coworkers.
