It can be both exciting and difficult to adjust to life in a new country at a new university. In this workshop, you will learn why it is important to take care of your mental health as well as your physical health. You will learn simple strategies for taking care of yourself, particularly as you move through the stages of culture shock. You will learn to recognize emotional and physical symptoms you may experience during your cultural transition and how to find mental health services that are available. You will also explore how to help others who may be struggling.
